My top five west-end holiday markets for 2026 are the One of a Kind Christmas Show at Exhibition Place (27 Nov–6 Dec), Toronto Art Crawl’s free Christmas Market at The Bentway (7 Nov), its Christmas Pop Up at The Great Hall on Queen West (6 Dec), the weekly Toronto Sunday Market at The Parkdale Hall, and Neilson Park Creative Centre’s craft sale in Etobicoke (21 Nov). The order is my judgement, not an official ranking.
How I chose these five
Each market on this list has a 2026 date posted on the organizer’s own page, or on the venue’s. I left out several well-known west-end markets because their 2026 dates were not published by the end of October.
By “west end” I mean roughly from Exhibition Place and Queen West out to Etobicoke. I looked for variety in scale: one very large ticketed show, two free one-day artisan markets, a weekly Sunday market and a community arts centre sale.
I also gave weight to transit access and to how each market reflects the neighbourhood around it, because that is what matters if you are deciding where to live.
1. One of a Kind Christmas Show
What it offers
This is the big one. The One of a Kind Christmas Show runs from Friday, 27 November to Sunday, 6 December 2026 at the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place, and the Exhibition Place events listing describes it as featuring more than 800 Canadian artisans.
Hours vary by day. Most weekdays run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the Sundays close at 5 p.m., and Thursday, 3 December has a Late Night Shopping Party from 5 to 11 p.m.
What it means for buyers and renters
For condo buyers and renters in Liberty Village and the surrounding west downtown, a show of this size within reach of home is a genuine perk. Exhibition Place hosts large events through the year, and this is one of the most popular.
A ten-day run also gives you flexibility. If your schedule allows, a weekday visit spreads the trip away from the two weekends, and the organizer’s weekday bundle is built around exactly that kind of visit.
The flip side is event-day traffic. If you are looking at homes close to Exhibition Place, ask how busy local streets get during major shows and plan visits on a show weekend.
Practical notes
- Venue: Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place.
- Dates: 27 November to 6 December 2026.
- Hours: Friday, 27 November and Friday, 4 December run 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturdays and Monday to Wednesday run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; both Sundays close at 5 p.m.
- Tickets: the show sells a $99 “Bestie Bundle” of four weekday tickets and four tote bags; single-ticket prices are on its Ticket Options & Hours page.
- Also at Exhibition Place: the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair runs 6 to 15 November 2026 at the Enercare Centre.
2. Toronto Art Crawl Christmas Market at The Bentway
What it offers
Toronto Art Crawl’s outdoor Christmas Market is on Saturday, 7 November 2026, from noon to 6 p.m. at The Bentway, 250 Fort York Blvd., under the Gardiner Expressway. Admission is free with a free ticket.
The listing promises more than 140 Toronto artists and artisans selling art, fashion, gifts, decor, jewellery and skin care, plus a live DJ and food trucks. Leashed pets are welcome, and the first 25 people through get VIP swag bags.
What it means for buyers and renters
The Bentway turns space under an expressway into a year-round public venue, and markets like this are a big part of why the Fort York and CityPlace area feels lived-in. For condo buyers, that programming adds value you will not see on a floor plan.
It is an early-season market, so it suits people who like to start gift shopping before December. Because it is outdoors in November, dress for the weather.
Practical notes
- Address: 250 Fort York Blvd.
- Date and time: Saturday, 7 November 2026, 12 to 6 p.m.
- Cost: free; tickets through the organizer’s website.
- Same site in winter: The Bentway also runs a skate trail under the Gardiner at 250 Fort York Blvd.; it had not posted 2026–27 opening dates when I checked, so I have not listed one.
3. Toronto Art Crawl Christmas Pop Up at The Great Hall
What it offers
The same organizer runs an indoor Christmas Pop Up on Sunday, 6 December 2026, from noon to 5 p.m. at The Great Hall, 1087 Queen St. W. This is its tenth annual edition.
The page lists more than 80 Toronto artists and artisans selling art, photography, sculpture, jewellery, fashion, home decor and skin care, with food vendors and a DJ. Admission is free; the organizer said free tickets were coming soon when I checked.
What it means for buyers and renters
To me, this market is a concentrated version of what I like about shopping Queen West: small makers, one-off pieces and a neighbourhood crowd. For renters and buyers in the surrounding semi-detached and condo stock, it is a walkable December outing.
Compared with the Bentway market, this one is indoors and later in the season. If you only make one Art Crawl trip, choose by weather and by how close to Christmas you like to shop.
Practical notes
- Address: The Great Hall, 1087 Queen St. W.
- Date and time: Sunday, 6 December 2026, 12 to 5 p.m.
- Cost: free.
4. Toronto Sunday Market at The Parkdale Hall
What it offers
Toronto Sunday Market runs every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Parkdale Hall, 1605 Queen St. W., inside the hall or in its outdoor lot across the street. It is the only weekly market on this list.
The page lists themed Sundays this fall, ending with a “Winter Warmth” market on 29 November. It is a good fit if you want a regular weekend browse rather than a single big show, and because it repeats every week, a cold or rainy Sunday is no great loss.
What it means for buyers and renters
A weekly market is a sign of a neighbourhood with steady foot traffic and an active small-business scene. For buyers looking at Parkdale and the surrounding area, it is the kind of amenity you will use without planning.
The hall is close to the Gardiner and well served by transit, which suits households without a car. When you view homes nearby, check noise and traffic on Sundays as well as weekdays.
Practical notes
- Address: 1605 Queen St. W., Unit 3.
- Transit: the market page lists TTC routes 501 and 504 and the 402 bus, getting off at Triller Ave.
- December: the page did not list specific December themes when I checked, so confirm before you go.
5. Holiday Handmade Art and Fine Craft Sale, Neilson Park Creative Centre
What it offers
For Etobicoke, the community pick is Neilson Park Creative Centre’s Holiday Handmade Art and Fine Craft Sale on Saturday, 21 November 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It features work by more than 60 local artists and artisans, and admission and parking are free.
Expect paintings, fibre art, scarves, hats, quilts, calligraphic artwork, jewellery, sculptures and wood carvings. It is smaller and calmer than the downtown shows, which many shoppers prefer.
What it means for buyers and renters
This sale is a reminder that the west end does not stop at the Humber. Central Etobicoke has a strong community arts scene, and an established arts centre is a real draw for families and retirees alike.
If you are comparing Etobicoke with neighbourhoods closer to downtown, weigh the trade-off honestly: fewer big events, but easier parking and a more local crowd.
Practical notes
- Address: 56 Neilson Dr.
- Doors: open at 9:50 a.m.
- Before you go: the free Eventbrite listing showed as sold out when I checked on 30 October 2026, so confirm entry with the centre.

What this means if you’re buying or selling in Toronto’s west end
Holiday markets cluster where there is foot traffic, transit and an active local business scene. In the west end, that means the Queen West corridor, the Fort York and Exhibition Place area, and community hubs in Etobicoke.
If you are looking at condos in Liberty Village, Fort York or along Queen West, you are buying into a neighbourhood with a busy events calendar. That is a plus for lifestyle, but check the noise and traffic on event days before you commit.
If you prefer a quieter street, central Etobicoke offers community-scale events like the Neilson Park sale with easier parking. The right choice depends on whether you want events on your doorstep or a short drive away.
For sellers, being within walking distance of a well-known market is a legitimate selling point. Describe it accurately in your listing, with the real walking distance, and let buyers judge for themselves.
