Is there an official best realtor in Vaughan?
No. No regulator or board ranks agents, so every “best realtor in Vaughan” list is marketing, including self-published ones. What you can judge is evidence: registration on RECO’s public register, recent sales in your home type and price band, how the agent arrives at a price, and the terms they put in writing.

What the numbers mean for you
Vaughan’s detached homes sold at 96% of asking in about a month in August 2026, while freehold townhouses held up better at 98%. The condo segment, much of it around the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, had 431 active listings against 63 sales, so condo sellers face real competition and should price against specific buildings.

Five checks for any agent
Use these with everyone you interview, including me.
| What to check | How to check it yourself | Red flag |
|---|---|---|
| Registration | Search the name on RECO’s public register; confirm category and brokerage | Name not found, or brokerage differs from the business card |
| Local sales evidence | Ask for units sold in your building or pocket in the past 12 months, with addresses | “Top 1%” with no comparison group or period |
| Pricing method | Ask which three sales they would anchor your price to, and why | A number with no comparables, or a number far above every comparable |
| Representation | Ask how client versus self-represented status applies to you under TRESA | Vague answers about who they work for when both sides are involved |
| Contract terms | Read the holdover period, cancellation terms and the commission split in writing | Pressure to sign the same day |
