Cross-street routes connect north to Line 2 at Old Mill, Royal York, Islington and Kipling.
If a listing tells you a Queensway condo west of Park Lawn is on a streetcar line, it is wrong. I checked this against the TTC’s own scheduling data rather than from memory, because it is the single most common error made about this street.
Streetcars stop at Humber Loop. Full stop.
The westernmost point any streetcar route reaches on The Queensway is Humber Loop. Everything west of there — Park Lawn, Royal York, Islington, Kipling, Sherway — is bus territory.
The routes that do touch The Queensway east of Humber Loop are the 501 Queen, the 508 Lake Shore, the 507 Long Branch and the overnight 301 Queen. Their reach on this street is a handful of stops between Humber Loop and Glendale Avenue, plus, for the 507 and 301, the stretch to Park Lawn Road.
The TTC has track renewal work at Long Branch Loop that began as early as 7 June 2026. The 507 Long Branch streetcar is fully suspended and replaced by buses, running every ten minutes, with a 507M peak shuttle serving Humber Bay Shores. The 508 Lake Shore is suspended for the summer. The TTC published a start date but, as of the date on this page, no end date.

The 80 makes 50 stops on The Queensway between The West Mall and Parkside Drive. It is the only route that covers the corridor end to end, and for most Queensway residents it is the route that matters most.
Getting to the subway
Line 2 runs east–west well north of this street. Working west to east, the relevant stations are Kipling, Islington, Royal York and Old Mill. These are the routes that connect up to them from the corridor and its cross-streets:

Overnight service is provided by the Blue Night routes: 301 Queen, 315 Evans-Brown’s Line, 337 Islington and 345 Kipling.
A correction worth making: the 145 Belfield is sometimes listed as serving this area. It does not. It runs between Kipling Station and Pearson Airport, well north of The Queensway.
GO Transit
Two options, and they are not equivalent.
- Kipling GO, integrated with Kipling Station as the Kipling Transit Hub, is on the Milton line — not the Kitchener line, as is sometimes stated. Metrolinx confirmed the hub as complete in May 2022; it connects GO, the TTC and MiWay with a bus terminal, underground tunnels to the subway and a pedestrian bridge to the GO platform. Note that the Milton line is a weekday peak-period, peak-direction service. Check current schedules before assuming all-day service.
- Mimico GO, on Royal York Road south of the Gardiner, is on the Lakeshore West line and is the nearest all-day GO station to the eastern end of the corridor.
Driving
The Queensway’s real strength is road access: the Gardiner Expressway runs parallel just to the south, and Highway 427 and the QEW are at the western end. That is the honest reason a lot of people choose this corridor over more transit-rich parts of the city.
It is also, right now, the corridor’s biggest daily frustration. The Gardiner Section 3 rehabilitation runs from Highway 427 to the Humber River, with lane reductions at Kipling and Islington and the Park Lawn Road westbound on-ramp closed through December 2026. Read that page before you commit to a commute.
Cycling
Protected bike lanes on The Queensway are approved but not built. City Council endorsed The Queensway Complete Street on 7 April 2022, the project is in detailed design, and construction is anticipated in 2027. The full story is here. Do not buy on the strength of bike lanes that do not exist yet.
My read
Be honest with yourself about how you will actually travel. If you drive, this corridor is genuinely excellent and the Gardiner work is temporary. If you commute downtown by transit, it is a bus to a subway, and that is a different daily experience from living on a rapid transit line — not a bad one, but not what some listings imply.
And do not price in Park Lawn GO. I have written a whole page on why.

Is there a streetcar on The Queensway?
Only at the far eastern end. The westernmost point any streetcar route reaches on The Queensway is Humber Loop. Everything west of there, including Park Lawn, Royal York, Islington, Kipling and Sherway, is served by bus. The corridor route is the 80 Queensway.
What bus runs along The Queensway?

Does the 145 Belfield bus serve The Queensway?
No. The 145 Belfield runs between Kipling Station and Pearson Airport, well north of The Queensway. It is sometimes listed in error as serving this corridor.
