Humber Bay Shores is the real draw, with a caveat
4.7 across 2,675 reviews makes Humber Bay Shores Park not just the best park near this corridor but one of the best-reviewed public spaces in south Etobicoke — waterfront, trails, the skyline view everyone photographs.
The caveat: it is on the lake, not on The Queensway. From most Queensway buildings it is a cycle, a drive or a long walk, not a five-minute stroll. If daily waterfront access is your priority, buildings in Humber Bay Shores proper serve that better, and I would rather say so than sell you the postcard.
What is genuinely close
Queensway Park at 8 Avon Park Dr (4.5, 164) is the actual neighbourhood park for this corridor — ball diamonds, tennis, close enough to walk from the mid-corridor buildings. Jeff Healey Park rates higher at 4.6 and serves the Islington end.
The parkettes — Queensland, Winslow-Dalesford, Grand Avenue — are small local greens. Useful for a dog, not a destination.
Why this matters when comparing buildings
Almost every condo on The Queensway markets proximity to Humber Bay and the waterfront trail. Almost none are actually walking distance to it. Ask for the real walking time, or measure it yourself before you sign. The bike infrastructure is genuinely good, which is the honest version of the same selling point.
