Quick answer

Five Italian restaurants with a verified Queensway address, ranked on Google rating weighted against review volume — because a 4.9 from twelve people is not the same as a 4.3 from three thousand. One chain at Sherway Gardens is deliberately excluded and the reason is stated. Ratings retrieved 30 August 2026.

I live and work on The Queensway, and the question I get more than any other from buyers touring the corridor is not about maintenance fees. It is where do you actually eat around here. So here is the honest answer, ranked by what the public says rather than what I personally like — Google ratings and review counts pulled on 30 August 2026, every one with a verified Queensway address.

The ranking

# Restaurant Rating Reviews Address
1 Ragu Scratch Pasta 4.9 734 934 The Queensway
2 Buon Giorno Café 4.8 504 1134 The Queensway
3 The Blue Horse Cucina 4.8 143 848 The Queensway
4 Posticino 4.4 712 755 The Queensway
5 Mamma Martino’s 4.3 3,273 624-B The Queensway

How I ranked them, and why it is not just the star rating

A 4.9 from 12 people is not the same as a 4.3 from three thousand. Ragu Scratch Pasta tops this list because 4.9 across 734 reviews is genuinely hard to do — a sustained result, not a good month. Mamma Martino’s sits fifth on rating but has 3,273 reviews, more than the other four combined. That is not a restaurant that got lucky; that is a corridor institution that has been feeding this neighbourhood for decades.

If you want the highest-rated plate of pasta, go to Ragu. If you want the place your neighbours have been going to since before the condos went up, go to Mamma Martino’s. Different questions.

One honest caveat

Scaddabush at 1900 The Queensway rates 4.5 across 7,597 reviews and I have left it off deliberately. It is a chain, it sits at Sherway Gardens rather than on the walkable stretch, and it was a paid listing when I pulled this data. Perfectly good dinner. Not a Queensway neighbourhood restaurant.

What this has to do with buying here

Walkability is the most oversold number in condo marketing. Every listing quotes a Walk Score and almost none tell you what is actually within walking distance.

The genuine restaurant cluster runs roughly 620 to 950 — Mamma Martino’s at 624, Posticino at 755, The Blue Horse at 848, Ragu at 934. Buildings in the 600–900 range put you inside it on foot. Reina at 689 and Curio at 799 both sit in the middle. Buon Giorno at 1134 is closer to The Tailor at 1195.

That is a real difference between two buildings a kilometre apart, and no floor plan will tell you about it.
