Renters, Airbnb and elevators at Savoy at Camelot

Do mostly owners or renters live here?

Too few deals in the last 24 months to read the owner and renter mix reliably. Ask me and I will pull the building’s history.

Can you Airbnb a unit at Savoy at Camelot?

0units registered with the City as a short-term rental at this address

No active City registrations here right now. In Toronto you can only host in your principal residence, a whole unit for at most 180 nights a year, with a $390 yearly registration and 6% accommodation tax. You cannot buy here to run it as a full-time Airbnb. Check the condo’s rules in the status certificate before you count on it.

How reliable are the elevators?

0elevator outages of 48 hours or more reported to TSSA for this address since July 2022

Ontario requires residential buildings to report any elevator outage lasting 48 hours or more, and this address has none on record. Elevators still need modernizing every 25 to 30 years, so check the reserve fund study for the date.

Before you buy here

Five things the listing will not tell you about Savoy at Camelot

  1. Reserve fund health. Ask for the latest reserve fund study and its date. A thin fund in an older building usually means fee jumps or a special assessment.
  2. Special assessments and big repairs. Check the status certificate for planned levies and for balcony, garage, window or elevator work.
  3. Insurance deductible. Find the corporation’s deductible for water damage. If it is higher than your own policy covers, raise your coverage before closing.
  4. Fee trend. Compare this year’s budget with last year’s. Rises of 2–5% a year are typical; bigger jumps need an explanation.
  5. Lawsuits and rules. Look for legal claims against the corporation, and for rules on pets, short-term rentals and leasing.

Send me the status certificate and I will flag anything that matters before your conditional period runs out.

Savoy at Camelot is a mid-rise with an unusually wide spread of suites, from small one-bedrooms to plans over 2,000 square feet. It is an eight-storey, 158-suite building from 2005 in the Dallimore Circle condo cluster east of Don Mills Road. The fee does not cover parking, which changes how you should compare it. I’m Jatin Dua, RE/MAX Quantum Realty.

Quick answer

Savoy at Camelot is an 8-storey, 158-suite condominium at 16 Dallimore Circle in North York’s Banbury-Don Mills area, completed in 2005. TalkCondo names Camrost-Felcorp as developer; condos.ca leaves the field blank. The condominium corporation is TSCC-1669, registered on 19 April 2005, and FirstService Residential is listed as manager. Condos.ca lists the fee as covering common elements, heat, air conditioning, building insurance and water.

Part of the Dallimore Circle cluster

Dallimore Circle is a small enclave of condominiums east of Don Mills Road and between Eglinton and Lawrence. Savoy at Camelot shares the street with other condominiums such as Red Hot Condos at 120 Dallimore, which gives buyers several options of different ages within a short walk.

TalkCondo credits Camrost-Felcorp, a developer founded in 1976 with a long record in Toronto, while condos.ca leaves the developer field blank. I treat the Camrost-Felcorp attribution as likely but would confirm it if the builder matters to your decision.

At eight storeys and about 26 metres, this is a mid-rise. With 158 suites, it is a mid-sized corporation: big enough to share repair costs reasonably, small enough to stay quiet.

Being in a cluster has a real benefit for buyers. With several condominiums on the same street, you can compare fees, inclusions, amenities and reserve funds directly, and you can see which building has been better looked after before you choose.

From 441 to 2,130 square feet

Condos.ca lists suites from about 441 to 2,130 square feet. That is a very wide range for a mid-rise, running from compact one-bedrooms to plans larger than many townhouses.

It means two very different buyer groups share the building. First-time buyers and investors look at the smaller suites, while downsizers from Don Mills and Leaside look at the large ones. Each group sets its own prices, so a building-wide average tells you little about a specific suite.

If you are looking at a large plan, check how the space is laid out. Some larger suites of this era give up a lot of square footage to hallways and formal rooms, and that changes how a suite lives. Price large suites against other large suites, here and in nearby buildings.

For resale, the large suites are the slower part of the market. Fewer buyers are shopping for 2,000 square feet in a condo at any one time, so if you are buying a big plan, plan to hold it for a while and expect a longer marketing period when you sell.

Parking is not in the fee

Condos.ca lists common elements, heat, air conditioning, building insurance and water. Parking and hydro are not on that list, so expect to pay for electricity yourself and check whether the parking space carries its own monthly charge.

That matters when you compare. Carrington Place on Leslie includes hydro and parking, and Lawrence Park on Rosewell includes parking, so the fee here can look lower than it is in total. Add a realistic hydro bill and any parking charge before you compare.

Condos.ca works the average fee on current listings out at about $1.13 per square foot. With heat and cooling included, that is reasonable for a building of this age, but it is not low.

Ask for the parking details in writing. In buildings where parking is outside the common fee, spaces are sometimes separately titled or carry their own small monthly charge, and either arrangement changes your cost and what you are actually buying.

Living in Don Mills

Don Mills was one of Canada’s first planned suburbs, laid out in the 1950s around a central shopping area that is now the Shops at Don Mills. The neighbourhood still has that planned feel: winding streets, mature trees and a mix of houses, townhouses and condos.

Day to day, the neighbourhood feels calm and residential. The Shops at Don Mills gives the area an outdoor shopping and dining centre, and the surrounding streets are quiet, which is the main reason downsizers choose this part of the city.

Living here, you are close to the Don Valley Parkway and the parks and trails of the Don River valley. Line 5 Eglinton opened along Eglinton in early 2026, which adds an east-west transit option for the area. The panel beside this review shows stations, schools and parks.

What suites are asking

Condos.ca puts the building average at about $727 per square foot. That is above Carrington Place on Leslie at about $680 and below Lawrence Park on Rosewell at about $786. For Don Mills, it is a solid but not cheap figure.

Three suites were listed for sale when I checked, asking between $499,000 and $774,900, with fees of about $726 to $1,188 a month. One suite was listed for lease.

That spread is wide because the listings cover very different suite sizes, which is typical of this building. The fees on those listings work out to the roughly $1.13 per square foot average, so smaller suites carry noticeably lower monthly costs than the large plans.

With only a few listings at a time and a wide range of suite sizes, there are rarely enough active comparables for a specific plan. To price a suite well, I would look at sales in this building over two or three years and at similar suites elsewhere on Dallimore Circle. Ask me for the sold report.

Amenities at Savoy at Camelot

ConciergeGymSaunaGuest suitesParty roomMeeting roomVisitor parkingUnderground parking

This is a sensible, everyday package: concierge, gym and sauna, guest suites and rooms for gatherings. The concierge and guest suites matter most to the downsizers in the larger suites, who tend to have visiting family and plenty of deliveries. Neither condos.ca nor TalkCondo lists a pool, which, if correct, keeps one large long-term cost out of the reserve fund.

Jatin’s honest take on Savoy at Camelot

Who this building suits

Downsizers from Don Mills and Leaside who want a large suite in a quiet mid-rise, and first-time buyers who want a compact one-bedroom in an established neighbourhood. It suits owner-occupiers more than investors. Buyers who want a quiet street over a busy main road will like it here.

What I’d want you to check

At 20 years old, the building is entering the window for windows, roofing, the garage membrane, elevators and the central heating and cooling plant. Read the reserve fund study and board minutes, and ask what major work is planned. Confirm how parking is handled, whether it is owned or leased and whether it carries a separate fee, and confirm the locker. TalkCondo lists pet restrictions, so read the rules if you have a pet.

The value question

At about $727 per square foot, you pay a fair price for Don Mills, and the large suites offer far more space per dollar than a house nearby. The value depends on the total monthly cost once you add hydro and parking, and on the reserve fund. If both check out, I think it is a good owner-occupier building. Book a call and we can compare it with the other Dallimore buildings.

That happens constantly in condos — one has the parking, the right exposure, or a board that keeps the reserve fund healthy. A model can’t see your status certificate. I can.

How this works — your estimate comes from a model built on recent Toronto & GTA condo sale data, weighting area, size, layout, floor, exposure, view, parking, locker, age and condition. It is an automated estimate for information only — not an appraisal and not a Comparative Market Analysis. Condo values also depend on the building’s reserve fund, maintenance fees, recent special assessments and status certificate, none of which a model can read.
