Living here
Renters, Airbnb and elevators at 27 Antrim Townhouses
Do mostly owners or renters live here?
Too few deals in the last 24 months to read the owner and renter mix reliably. Ask me and I will pull the building’s history.
Can you Airbnb a unit at 27 Antrim Townhouses?
No active City registrations here right now. In Toronto you can only host in your principal residence, a whole unit for at most 180 nights a year, with a $390 yearly registration and 6% accommodation tax. You cannot buy here to run it as a full-time Airbnb. Check the condo’s rules in the status certificate before you count on it.
How reliable are the elevators?
Ontario requires residential buildings to report any elevator outage lasting 48 hours or more, and this address has none on record. Elevators still need modernizing every 25 to 30 years, so check the reserve fund study for the date.

Before you buy here
Five things the listing will not tell you about 27 Antrim Townhouses
- Reserve fund health. Ask for the latest reserve fund study and its date. A thin fund in an older building usually means fee jumps or a special assessment.
- Special assessments and big repairs. Check the status certificate for planned levies and for balcony, garage, window or elevator work.
- Insurance deductible. Find the corporation’s deductible for water damage. If it is higher than your own policy covers, raise your coverage before closing.
- Fee trend. Compare this year’s budget with last year’s. Rises of 2–5% a year are typical; bigger jumps need an explanation.
- Lawsuits and rules. Look for legal claims against the corporation, and for rules on pets, short-term rentals and leasing.
Send me the status certificate and I will flag anything that matters before your conditional period runs out.

27 Antrim Townhouses is the kind of complex I show buyers who want a family-sized home in central Scarborough and are realistic about age. It is 63 condominium townhouses from 1976, spread across Dundalk Drive and Antrim Crescent near Kennedy Road and Progress Avenue. At fifty years old the entry price can be attractive, but the corporation’s documents decide whether it is a good buy. I’m Jatin Dua, RE/MAX Quantum Realty.
Quick answer
27 Antrim Townhouses is a 63-unit condominium townhouse complex at 45 to 95 Dundalk Drive and 17 to 27 Antrim Crescent in the Dorset Park neighbourhood of Scarborough, near Kennedy Road and Progress Avenue. It was built in 1976. The condominium corporation is YCC-277, registered on 27 September 1976, and Sterling Condominium Services Inc. is listed as the property manager. No developer is named in the records I could find, and condos.ca does not publish a list of what the maintenance fee includes.
27 Antrim Townhouses at a glance
Two streets, one corporation
The complex fronts two streets. The Dundalk Drive homes are numbered 45 to 95 and the Antrim Crescent homes 17 to 27, and all 63 units sit in one corporation, YCC-277. Buyers who search only one address often miss half the complex, so set your alerts for both.
Dundalk Drive has more than one townhouse community. 80 Dundalk Drive Townhouses (50 to 80 Dundalk) and 101 Dundalk Drive Townhomes are listed as separate complexes, each with its own budget, reserve fund and board. Before you compare fees or prices along the street, make sure the status certificate you are reading is for YCC-277.
Antrim Crescent also has rental apartment buildings, including the Antrim Apartments at 4 and 4A Antrim Crescent. That makes this a 1970s planned pocket of towers and townhouses rather than a street of detached houses, and it explains why the area has a steady pool of tenants and first-time buyers.
At 63 units, the corporation is mid-sized for a townhouse complex. A big repair is shared by 63 owners rather than a dozen, which helps, but it is still small enough that a single roofing or paving project shows up clearly in the budget.
What a 1976 complex asks of an owner
The YCC prefix on the corporation number dates it to the early era of Ontario condominiums. The province only passed its condominium legislation in 1967, so YCC-277 was registered within the first decade of condo ownership here.
Fifty years is long enough that most original exterior components should have been replaced at least once. The reserve fund study is where you find out which ones have been done and which are still waiting: roofs, windows and patio doors, eavestroughs, fences, paving, walkways and site drainage.
Condos.ca lists a parking garage and visitor parking. Find out whether that means a garage attached to each home or a shared underground structure. A shared garage, with its waterproofing membrane and concrete slab, is one of the most expensive things a townhouse corporation ever repairs, and you want to see it planned for in the study.
Inside the unit, ask about the electrical system. Some Ontario homes from this period were built with aluminum branch wiring, and insurers ask about it. A seller who has the panel and wiring details ready saves you a surprise at the insurance stage.

Layouts and outdoor space
Condos.ca records the complex as a single storey and publishes no suite sizes. I would not rely on either figure for a townhouse. Confirm the number of levels, ask for a floor plan, and measure the rooms yourself before you compare this home with anything else.
BBQs are listed as permitted, which matters more in a townhouse than in a tower, because many of these homes have a patio or yard. Read the rules for the details, such as whether gas and charcoal are both allowed and where the barbecue can sit.
Ask which parts of the outside are yours to maintain. In many townhouse declarations the corporation looks after roofs and exterior walls while the owner is responsible for the yard, the interior and the furnace, air conditioner and water heater. The declaration for YCC-277 is the only document that answers this for this complex.
Kennedy and Progress, day to day
This corner of Dorset Park sits between the Progress Avenue employment lands and the residential streets that run south toward Ellesmere. It is a practical location for people who work in central Scarborough or drive the 401, and the data panel on this page shows the transit, schools and parks in detail.
Transit here has changed a lot in three years. The Line 3 Scarborough RT closed in July 2023, and replacement buses ran north on Kennedy Road and south on Midland Avenue. The new Scarborough Busway along the old RT route was scheduled to start service on 30 September 2026, with the temporary bus lanes on Kennedy and Midland to be removed.
Longer term, the Scarborough Subway Extension will take Line 2 from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, with a station at Scarborough Centre. It is under construction and expected around 2030. That is a reason to watch this part of Scarborough, not a reason to overpay today.
What 27 Antrim costs to own
When I checked, there were no units listed for sale here, and condos.ca does not publish suite sizes, a price per square foot or current fees for this complex. I am not going to give you a per-square-foot number I cannot support.
The honest way to price a home here is against recorded sales of similar 1970s townhouses close by, such as the other Dundalk Drive complexes, adjusted for size, condition and parking. A renovated unit and an original one can be far apart, so look at the work done inside, not only the address.
Treat the monthly fee the same way. A low fee in a fifty-year-old complex is only good news if the reserve fund is healthy. If you want the recorded sales for this complex rather than asking prices, I can pull them through my building sold report.

Amenities at 27 Antrim Townhouses
There is no gym, pool or party room to fund here, which is normal for a townhouse complex of this age. What you are paying for is the upkeep of roofs, grounds, roads and parking, and those are the items that hold the value of the homes.
Jatin’s honest take on 27 Antrim Townhouses
Who this building suits
First-time buyers and young families who want stairs, a front door and outdoor space for less than a freehold house in central Scarborough. It also suits people who work around Kennedy and Progress or Scarborough Centre and want to keep the commute short. Investors will find a steady rental market on these streets.
What I’d want you to check
Read the reserve fund study and the most recent board minutes with the age of the complex in mind: roofs, windows, paving, drainage and, if it is shared, the parking garage. Ask what the fee covers, because no inclusions are published. Confirm which exterior items are the owner’s responsibility, check the age of the furnace, air conditioner and water heater, and ask about the wiring. Make sure the documents are for YCC-277 and not a neighbouring Dundalk complex.
The value question
A 1976 townhouse is a bet on the corporation, not the building’s newness. If the reserve fund is strong and the big items are done or funded, this is one of the more affordable ways to get townhouse space this close to Scarborough Centre, and the transit work under way is a long-term plus. If the study shows large unfunded work, I would walk away or price that work into your offer.
