Get My Free Estimate →Five small townhouse condominium corporations in Markland Wood, Eringate and Etobicoke West Mall — built between 1973 and 1983, ranging from 14 to 86 units, with homes from about 1,100 to 2,200 square feet.
Almost nothing is written about any of them, and what is published is thin and often internally contradictory. This is the honest version: what each one is, what is verified, what is not, and the questions that actually matter when you buy into a small older corporation.
The five, side by side

Every corporation number above comes from a single listings database and none has been confirmed against a registry. The Condominium Authority of Ontario’s registry search is free and public — use it before you rely on any of these.
What the corporation numbers tell you
YCC 89, YCC 110 and YCC 133 are low numbers, consistent with registrations in the early 1970s. MTCC 591 and MTCC 622 are Metro Toronto Condominium Corporation numbers, a later sequence — MTCC 622 fits a 1983 registration neatly.
That is a useful cross-check in itself: when a corporation number and a build year sit where you would expect them to relative to each other, the data is probably not fabricated. It is one of the few sanity tests available on buildings this obscure.
One source treats “150 & 160 Carsbrooke Townhomes” as a single 25-unit grouping. Another treats 160 as its own entry with no year, no developer, no manager and no unit count. A single sold listing shows MTCC 591 — but an MTCC number implies registration after 1974, which does not sit comfortably with the 1960s-era feel of the street.
I cannot resolve it, and I would not buy here without a lawyer confirming exactly which corporation the unit belongs to and what its boundaries are.
The storey-count data is unreliable across all five
These databases report “1 floor” for complexes that are plainly two-storey townhouses. For 13 Silver Shadow one source says two storeys, another says one, and individual unit listings describe two-storey homes. Treat the storeys field in any listings database as unreliable for townhouse corporations generally — including these.
Two of these are very small, and that changes the maths
500 Renforth Drive has 14 units. The combined Carsbrooke grouping is about 25. Those are tiny corporations, and the arithmetic deserves stating plainly: every capital cost is divided by that number. A $700,000 project across 14 owners is $50,000 each. Across 400 owners it would be $1,750.
That is not a reason to avoid them — small corporations are often beautifully run, and 500 Renforth’s 1,600–2,100 square foot homes are a rare product. It is a reason to read the reserve fund study line by line and ask directly about special assessment history.
What is not verified for any of them
- Developer — unknown for all five.
- Corporation type — no source states whether these are standard, common-elements or freehold-style corporations. That distinction changes what you own and what you maintain, and it is answered by the declaration.
- Private garages and driveways — “parking garage” and “indoor parking” appear as amenity tags on nearly all of them, but no source confirms private attached garages. Some listings show two or three parking spaces.
- Property managers — single-sourced where named at all (Goldview at Silver Shadow, Wilson Blanchard at 19 Centennial Park Rd, GSA at 431 Mill Rd; none listed for 500 Renforth or 160 Carsbrooke). Contracts change.
- Maintenance fees — no source publishes a building-level figure and I am not going to extrapolate one from a single listing.
Two things worth knowing about the addresses
Several of these corporations span two street frontages. 19 Centennial Park Road Townhouses covers both 580–586 Renforth Drive and 11–19 Centennial Park Road. 431 Mill Road Townhouses covers 615–629 Rathburn Road as well. If you search listings by one address only, you will miss half the inventory.
The neighbourhood tags differ. Silver Shadow is Markland Wood; Carsbrooke is Etobicoke West Mall, not Markland Wood despite feeling adjacent; the Renforth and Mill Road corporations are Eringate–Centennial–West Deane. Nearby: Centennial Park, Renforth Plaza, Renforth Mall, Kingsbury Centre, Millwood Junior School and Silverthorn Collegiate Institute.
The takeaway
These five corporations are quiet, family-sized, and priced well below the equivalent square footage in a house — which is precisely why they are worth knowing about. They are also almost entirely undocumented online, and two of them are small enough that a single capital project would land hard. Verify the corporation number at the CAO registry, read the declaration to learn what you actually own, and read the reserve fund study before anything else.

Frequently asked questions
Which townhouse condominium corporations are in Markland Wood and Eringate?
Among the least-documented are 13 Silver Shadow Townhouses (1973, 85 units), 160 Carsbrooke Road, 19 Centennial Park Road Townhouses (1974, 55 units), 431 Mill Road Townhouses (1973, 86 units) and 500 Renforth Drive Townhouses (1983, 14 units).
Why do listing sites show these as one storey?
It is a data-model artifact. These databases report “1 floor” for townhouse corporations that are plainly two storeys, and individual unit listings contradict them. Treat the storeys field as unreliable for any townhouse corporation.
What is the risk of a 14-unit condominium corporation?
Every capital cost is divided by 14. A $700,000 project works out to roughly $50,000 per owner, where in a 400-unit building it would be about $1,750. Small corporations can be excellently run, but the reserve fund study and special assessment history are essential reading.
Do these townhouses have private garages?
Unverified. “Parking garage” and “indoor parking” appear as amenity tags on most of them, but no source confirms private attached garages, and some listings show two or three parking spaces. The declaration is the authoritative answer.
Why do some of these corporations have two different street addresses?
Several span two frontages: 19 Centennial Park Road Townhouses covers 580–586 Renforth Drive and 11–19 Centennial Park Road, and 431 Mill Road Townhouses also covers 615–629 Rathburn Road. Search both addresses or you will miss listings.
How do I confirm a condominium corporation number?
Use the Condominium Authority of Ontario registry search, which is free and public, or take it from the status certificate. Every corporation number in this article comes from a single listings database and none has been registry-confirmed.
